Top 6 On-Page Search Engine Optimization Tips

Search engines are major sources of traffic for a blog. You have to optimize your blog for On-Page and Off-Page to get higher rankings from Search Engines. On-Page SEO means the optimization which is done in the page via HTML tags. Off-Page SEO means optimization for your blog and backlinks from other websites. Follow below 6 techniques and I am sure that you will get higher rankings in Google and other search engines too.

On Page SEO tips

Be aware that over SEO also hurts. So be in limit. Use these techniques limited. Don't make your post messed up from it. Write for people not for search engines. So let's start.

1. Meta tags & Meta Description

Meta description tells a small summary of your full post. When search engine bots see meta description and find it quality then they crawl your full site else forget it. When human visit your blog they see title or meta description in search engines and if they think it helpful then they visit else there may be 10+ more results for the same keyword. You have to write a brilliant meta description and give some crunchy meta tags.

2. Optimize your URLs

Search engines also see the url of the article/post and then they crawl on it. There are some styles of url in wordpress. %postname% is best for use. In blogger badly we have no option to edit url but if we start the header with the keyword then it will surely come in the url. So be sure to optimize your URL in wordpress and Post titles for blogger.

3. Adding your Main Keyword

Repeat your main keyword of post frequently. Write quality articles with your niche and keep the keyword there. If you will add 10-15% keyword density then it will be worst for SEO. Keep the density 2-5%. It is good for humans and search engine crawlers too. You can check the density via diognosing your page with SeoQuake. You can know more about it here.

4. Use Heading tags

If you want to make a text like heading in post then use h2 tag and if it is a sub-heading then use h3 tag. But don't use h4, h5 etc. tags because they are not good for SEO. Keep h1 for post title. Keep your keyword in h1, h2 and h3 tag if possible. It will be better if you use maximum 6 tags. If they are required then you can use but don't be over in this factor too.

Recommended Posts: Heading design CSS code.

5. Make Images Optimized

Images are also important in a blog post. Use keyword in the name of Image. Don't use random numbers or random characters. Like my-keyword.png is better than 65adf4a6.png. So be aware for it and after uploading the image, add alt attributes there. Search engines don't have eyes like humans. They know about a image by alt attribute or the image. Use .png images as they are good for SEO and they load fast too.

6. Recommended read

Keep URL of your past post in new posts. Write a paragraph and give a link related to it in past posts. Like you wrote this paragraph and this will be your recommend read.

So it will attract users to your old posts too. They will get more information about a single factor and you will get them stuck on your site. They will start liking your website and visit it frequently for more detailed info. It's better to chose a niche so you can get some posts related to the point.

So I think you knew the tips and never forget that content is king in all the time. So write quality content and use On-Page SEO then it will be like 'Savor on Gold'. So keep blogging with peace and let me know if you have any more tips or any questions via comment.
